I know I just did a whole thing on monochrome dressing, but behold the street stars, above, illustrating just how cool it really is. All black is elevated and chic, slightly edgy, and can invite a little pop of color like a fun red shoe (upper right), or a rich brown bag. And now for the getting-good-stuff part…
Me + Em’s little top has just-dramatic-enough sleeves and is cut perfectly for higher-waist bottoms.
I know this cute basket bag, or “pot de miel” isn’t exactly black, but it’s such a good piece to wear with it.
I love cool, longer shorts slightly dressed up for day (or night) in lieu of a skirt.
A simple (and comfy) sandal like this can be worn with just about anything here.
I love the shape and slight drape of this chic dress.
Hat Attack’s raffia purse is super on trend yet completely classic.
Looks like the Nili Shon pant is here to stay, and this faded carbon shade is great for summer.
Who doesn’t love a good, glamorous pair of shades? This pair feels right and is under $100.
A breezy silk dress like this can serve you well in so many situations.
Black Birks with a black buckle are my favorites.
These easy, light cotton pants make a great skirt alternative. You might even want to wear them over your maillot at the beach.
And here’s my favorite linen tee which would be perfect with any of the bottoms here.
I’m throwing in Mango’s super dark navy skirt because it can look great mixed with all black.
Chan Luu’s fan-favorite featherweight scarf is just the thing to carry around in your bag for air-conditioned restaurants and meat-locker offices, or just unexpected cool evening breezes.
And if it’s not too, too hot, I love a cool classic boot like this with faded black jeans and a tee.
Yes, if possible, please fix the link to the chic dress. Love it!
Hi,
The link to the "chic" dress isn't working.
Thank you.
