It’s not really a revolutionary idea, but I always love lots of black-on-black, when things start warming up (in winter, with all those layers, it can feel a little staid and sad). For one, it looks great on almost everyone, and feels a little cool and unexpected in the hotter months Here are just three copyable looks to inspire you.
Here we have the one-and-only Emmanuelle Alt showing us how it’s done with a good, black linen button down, classic black trousers with a simple leather belt, cool gladiator andals (this “comfort” pair looks good, too). She’s wearing a Cartier tank watch, but this works, too, and a wrist full of gold bangles— these Bulgari-esque ones are fun.
This look is styled around a pair of roomy shorts (kind of a cool skirt alternative), with a simple cotton tank, a classic belt, and sleek jelly flip flops with red toe polish—This Gucci one looks perfect. Her bag is The Row, but this one could pass, and, finally, a good pair of big sunnies.
Her long black skirt (or could be culottes) might look a little serious all covered up for winter, but it’s perfect for right now with a flash of bare ankles and feet.. That looks like a blue silk tank under her thin, V-neck sweater (breaks up all that black perfectly) .It’s hard to find those sandals (anyone?), but these tell a similar story. Not sure what’s wrapped around her wrist, but I sure do love this summery leather and pearl wrap bracelet that could also work as a necklace/choker.
BEST. POST.EVER.
Oh gosh. Bought sandals yesterday but maybe should have waited for this post! Eyeballing those chic comfort sandals! Great post! 🤩
