It's a Great Time For Chambray

Of course I have to kick off this post with my all-time favorite papery denim shirt (aside from my dad’s Levi’s ones from the ‘70s): This 4Objects number that’s made from organic cotton, just gets better and more faded as you wash and wear it. It’s really the only one you’ll ever need/want. Trust me!

Quince’s easy pull-on pants are a cross between a PJ bottom and a soft pair of jeans.

This near-perfect shirt dress from Ann Mashburn is classically crisp and versatile—You can wear it with heels and maybe unbutton the top and bottom a little more, or throw it on with flip flops or boots in the fall, like they show it here (I would also layer it over a thin turtleneck.

These barrel pants from Le Ligne have a cool reinforced knee and a really good super -light wash.

Gap’s chambray slip dress would be so good anywhere, but especially at the beach.

I’m a fan of Veronica Beard’s cap-toe footwear (I have the ankle boots), and this little light denim sling back would be so good with beat-up jeans or fancier linen pants.

I recently bought a vintage chambray tuxedo shirt (popped into my head randomly, and not so easy to find), but I did discover this new one for you.

Madewell’s swingy button-front top is just the thing to pair with higher-waist pants or jeans.

I’m picturing this breezy skirt from Marine Layer with a white tee and those K. Jacques heels I posted a while back (now on sale!). And let’s all admire that smocked waist and thick hem!
