Behold an inspiring street photo I found of this chic woman (anyone know who she is?) sauntering around looking like all the cool girls at B.U. circa ‘87. And somehow she looks even cooler (that hair!). Let’s break it down.
Her blazer looks like it’s probably vintage, but here’s a nice new one in a deep, rich brown (on sale!).
And she’s got a simple white tee underneath— This best-selling J.Crew one is the perfect choice.
The super light jeans might take a second to get used to again, but, adjust your eyes and they will suddenly seem super fresh. This pair from Pistola has a good, vintage vibe. These H&Ms would also work well, and these, too (now under $40).
The boots are insane (in a good way), and these Veronica Beards are kind of the modern version. You can go for a more classic cowboy boot from Tecovas, or, if you’re lucky enough to be a size 7, you can score this vintage pair, and here’s a great version in a size 9.
Her bag is kind of preppy, totally retro, and all of a sudden cool looking. This little leather speedy has similar vibes— this Dooney & Bourke, too. and here’s a great vintage one for $25, and another Dooney & Bourke. This old Ralph Lauren guy is so good, too.
Just bought that bag. This chic lady is life!
Ooh, I love it all except for her boots. I love these jeans, but I was wondering - I think you said once you're 5'2? As a 5'1 person, I was just curious what you do with these 31-inch inseams? Do you get all your jeans tailored, or do you just wear them with heels? Because I love so many of the ones you post, but most of them don't offer petite sizes. Just curious if I should look into jean tailoring!
