I just dragged my friend Daniel to Zara last Saturday after our weekly “lady brunch” because I needed some sandals for a beach trip. But then I saw so much more that I wanted, I wished I had blinders on. So today I bring you some of my very favorites starting with this pretty red blouse that would elevate a pair of jeans in a split second. p.s. I was so excited about the suede skirt it’s styled with but it doesn’t seem to be out yet so stay tuned.
I’m so into this cool shoe that feels super modern but has a 1940s heel—So perfect with sweet floral dresses, and maybe even some cute ankle socks.
I have three trench coats but that’s not stopping me from really wanting this rich brown one (and it’s water repellent!).
This chic cardigan is the perfect stand-in for a structured jacket.
I’m really feeling the wide cotton skirts for spring/summer and this one is almost like a pair of slouchy pants. And let’s all appreciate those sleek leather mules.
When I saw this luxe, chocolate silk shirt, I ordered it so fast my head was spinning.
And don’t you think a set of leather cuffs is kind of fun?
I wouldn’t normally think a pink dress was my vibe, but this one somehow is.
A fitted pinstriped blazer like this is just the thing to throw over any pants (or even dresses) to make them a little more polished.
If you’re on the hunt for some good, slouchy jeans, this pair seems pretty perfect.
I tried on these burgundy wedges with my gray cashmere socks on my jaunt with Daniel, and I can’t stop thinking about them.
I’m usually afraid to buy lingerie here, but this brown lace bra seems worth the risk.
Forget the Timothée Chalamet movie—Bob Dylan has always been my style icon for as long as I can remember. In fact, I styled one of my all-time favorite shoots for Sassy in which I reenacted a lot of iconic Bob moments (it was shot by Jay Strauss, who is now owner of the Westville franchise, and starred model Jade Barreau, who was perfect in the role). Anyway, when I saw these very Bob boots I nearly passed out before I could hit the buy button.
For some reason this entire outfit feels so fresh like you needed it yesterday, so here’s the doubled-up tee and perfect sweatpants.
There’s something about this suede bag with grommet detail that feels like the perfect vintage score, plus it’s such a good size for every day.
And last up: a fabulous suede barn jacket. And while it’s pricy for Zara, it’s pretty reasonable considering the price of all the designer versions. Plus, it’s a forever piece.
can you link us to that Sassy photo shoot please?!?
Shopping in a Zara store is often a soul-deadening experience but I shop on their app regularly and am seldom disappointed. We all know their prices are good but so are the styling and quality. Slouchy pleated wide leg pants are my jam and theirs fit me perfectly. They often have great shoes, nice basic tops and even cool dresses. The fit of jeans are hit and miss but when they work they’re fun. I mix my Zara pieces with designer duds and get compliments on both. I’ve kept and worn many Zara buys for years so their stuff isn’t necessarily disposable.
